Chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board, Ijaz Butt has said that no coaching deals have been done by the Board with former Test players Waqar Younis or Saeed Anwar. "The story regarding Saeed Anwar holding a batting camp once the team returns from Australia is just a media talk," he told UK-based website PakPassion.net.

"I read the story and was surprised and can confirm that nothing has been agreed with Saeed. He has in the past confirmed to me his willingness to help out Pakistan cricket, but he is currently very busy with his own commitments which would limit his availability," added Butt.

"Waqar also has television commitments, and the initial agreement with him was for just the tour of Australia. We will have to sit down with Waqar and see what his plans are for the future and whether he is available for any future tours, or whether we work with him on a series by series basis."

According to the website, there has been a lot of support for Waqar Younis, a veteran of 349 international matches to be appointed as bowling coach on a long term basis. Rana Naved ul Hasan is just one of a list of bowlers who have in the past praised Waqar and his coaching methods and attributed their improvement to the former UBL and Surrey speedster.
